First Visit:
We reserve times specifically for new patients. You will be the only patient in the office so Dr. McCracken can devote his full attention to you! Our office has convenient store-front parking and upon your arrival you will be greeted by our office manager, "CL".
Hopefully you've already downloaded and completed your admitting paperwork, if not we will try to make this process as painless as possible.
Once the forms have been completed you will meet with Dr. McCracken for a consultation. He will discuss your present problems and health goals. If you are a chiropractic candidate, an examination and the necessary x-rays will be done to identify the cause of your problem. The doctor does not treat a problem until he knows what is causing the problem.
Pain relief will be provided on your first visit when needed. Dr. McCracken will take the time necessary to thoroughly study your examination results and x-rays. He will then prepare your treatment plan.
On the second visit you will receive your Report of Findings and informed of your treatment choices from the doctor. This completes your first and longest visit at our office for today.
Second Visit:
Dr. McCracken will recommend a treatment plan for you with various treatment options. The doctor will review your x-rays with you and you will be informed as to what your body is doing and why. He will then answer any questions you may have, you will receive your first treatment, pain relief and be provided with any at-home exercises or home care instructions.
The doctor expects you to notice some soreness, stiffness and/or the reduction of pain after your first visit. This is a sign that you body is working the way it should and is a normal result.
This concludes your second visit.
Regular Visits:
Future office visits take significantly less time.
Our goal remains the same on each visit. To provide you with the best possible treatment and get you going on your way again. You will simply initial your sign-in sheet, mark a pain rating and then see the doctor.
Dr. McCracken will check your progress, adjust you, provide any pain relief or therapy necessary and you will be on your way!
We reserve this time for you and as such you only need to arrive five minutes before your appointment time. We do not overbook or keep our patients waiting. We do not have a waiting room but a reception room! We value your time and we ask that you respect our time as well. Should you need to change your appointment we ask that you do so at least 24 hours in advance so others in pain may use that appointment time.
Remember, one treatment builds upon the next so keeping your appointments on a regular basis is essential. Chiropractic does not work if you do not use it! Failure to keep your appointments will result in your being released from care.
